This is a sweet old English knitting Pattern for Baby Girl Dolls 12" tall.
This pattern includes a jacket, dress, cap, petticoat, diaper shirt, and panties. It is a wonderful antique baby design and would be an excellent choice for artists' dolls.
It was designed for bisque or composition baby dolls from the late 30's or 40's, but would fit any 12" doll like Effanbee's Patsy Baby, Tiny Tears, Rosebud Toddler Doll (British), Betsy Wetsy, DoraLee Vogue, Bitty Bethany, Dydee Baby, Baby Dear (12") and Thumbelina, as well as baby dolls with similar body types. This would also be excellent for reborns and would be suitable for real premature babies.
The original pattern was knitted in 4 ply knitting wool, English knitting needles size # 8 and a bone crochet hook.
