This is a knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 6 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's.
This pattern consists of an embroidered knitted dress. It has short puff sleeves, fitted bodice and slightly flared skirt. Two ply fingering yarn was used in the original pattern, and 3 buttons. Silk embroidery thread was used, however cotton DMC may be substituted. This classic pattern would be perfect for custom designing and trim to create one of a kind miniature garments.
These charming patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 6 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Muffie, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
