This is an adorable set of vintage crochet patterns for English Sixpenny Dolls about 7" to 8" tall. Pattern includes directions to make a little girl's outfit with petticoat, bonnet, dress and "combination" panties and a cap, knickers (pants), and tunic (top) for a little boy doll. The dress skirt is worked in a shell pattern with the bodice worked in plain double crochet. These outfits were originally made with Sylko No. 8 thread and shetland wool for the undies with a No. 12 & 10 English crochet hook. Matching ribbons were used for trim.
Even though this pattern was originally designed for bisque dolls, this pattern will fit modern dolls from about 7" to 8" tall and taller. If yarn or needle size is adjusted these should fit slightly taller dolls with similar figure types.
