This is a knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 6 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's. The chest and waist measurement of these dolls is 4".
This pattern consists of a frilly knitted dress made out of crochet thread. English knitting needles # 14 were used (US #0, Metric #2).
It has double ruffles knitted around the hem of the skirt and unusual crisscross ruffles across the bodice that attach at the back waist with snaps. The dress closes with 2 buttons in the back. This unique pattern would be perfect for custom designing to create one of a kind miniature garments.
These charming patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 6 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Muffie, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
