This is a knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 6 1/2" dolls in the late 40's and early 1950's.
This pattern consists of a Sweater Blouse with collar and tie; Skirt, and Tam/Beret. It was originally designed to be little Parade Uniforms and have instructions for a little necktie and shoulder embroidery for the sweater.
Two ply fingering yarn and English knitting needles # 15 were used (Metric #1.75) for the tam and skirt and silk Perle was used for the blouse(similar to cotton crochet thread). This unique pattern would be perfect for custom designing to create one of a kind miniature garments.
These charming patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 6 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Muffie, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
