This is a lovely Cardigan Jacket, Hat, Pleated Skirt, Panties & Camisole knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Chiltern Twins hard plastic 7 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's. This particular pattern introduced the "new twins" and was designed to be an impeccable ensemble for them.
This pattern consists of a three button front Cardigan style Jacket with raglan sleeves, pleated skirt, Hat with tassel, lace trimmed Panties & Camisole (vest).
Needle size English #13, (US # 1 and metric size #2 1/4") was used. Three ply fingering yarn was used in the original pattern. One small button needed in back of the skirt.
These charming old patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 7 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
