This is an adorable Embroidered Nightgown knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 7 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's.
This pattern consists of a two button front with polo collar with small embroidered flowers on collar and cuffs. Needle size English #13 was used. Two ply yarn was used in the original pattern. Embroidery silk or cotton thread was used in the embroidery designs. Two tiny buttons are needed.
These patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 7 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
