This is a vintage British knit pattern that was originally designed for the very popular hard plastic Rosebud 7 1/2" toddler dolls in the early 1950's. The original title was In Flower Strewn Nighties for the 7 1/2" Rosebud Twins. The nightgowns have three button front openings, floor length skirt and long sleeves.
Two ply fingering and English size 14 knitting needles were used in the original pattern. An international yarn and needle conversion chart as well as Knitting Hints for Miniature English knits will be included with these patterns.
These miniature patterns should fit a wide range of modern and vintage dolls such as Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Muffy, and many more.
