This is a Three Piece Party Set that was designed for the British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 7 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's.
This knitting pattern consists of a Dress, Stole and Panties. The dress has short sleeves, a flared skirt and is trimmed with 37 sequins. It was knitted with mohair and tinsel (a modern equivalent would have a metallic thread made into the yarn). Two-ply fingering was used for the stole. Needle sizes US No. 0, English No. 14, and metric size No. 2 were used. Three tiny buttons are also required.
These patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 7 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
