This is a cute striped Sunsuit Romper knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud twins hard plastic toddler dolls in the early 1950's.
It was knitted in 2-ply fingering wool with the US equivalent of size 1 knitting needles. However, this classic pattern would be perfect for modern dolls. The classic nature of the design lends itself to a number of variations for one of a kind designs.
Even though this pattern was originally designed for hard plastic dolls, with slight variation in needle and thread size, it should also fit dolls from about 6 1/2" tall such as Ellery, Ginny, Muffy, Alexanderkins and Riley or other little girl dolls with similar figure types.
