This is a knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 6 1/2" dolls in the late 40's and early 1950's.
This was designed to be a Nurse's uniform. It consists of a dress with cuffs and collar; An apron with ties and a Nurse's Cap. Red crosses were embroidered on the caps and aprons, but any symbols could be substituted. The apron, collar, cuffs & cap are knitted in crochet cotton. 2 ply fingering yarn was used for the dress. Size 13 English knitting needles were used in the original pattern.
The little dress with its cute collar and cuffs would be adorable alone. This unique pattern would be perfect for custom designing to create one of a kind miniature garments.
These charming patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 6 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Muffie, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
