This is a knit pattern that was designed for the very popular British Rosebud Twins hard plastic 7 1/2" dolls in the early 1950's.
This pattern consists of a Hat with upturned brim and button front, belted coat, striped scarf and mittens. It was supposed to represent a school uniform coat and hat and instructions were given to embroider a school emblem on the hat. Needle size English #13 double pointed, (US # 1 and metric 2 .25) was used. Two ply fingering was used in the original pattern. Two tiny buttons needed in back of the dress.
These patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 7 1/2" such as Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
