This is an original oriental design pattern that was inspired by a vintage Dollikin Mandarin Kimono pants set ca. 1950s. This pattern was drawn from the original garments.
This pattern fits 19" to 20" fashion dolls. It should also fit Cissy (modern & vintage), Revlon, 14R, Toni Sweet Sue Sophisticate, Cindy and other similar shaped fashion dolls.
It consists of a wrap front kimono with ties at neck; pull on pants with elastic waist and decorative cuffs that are slit at the sides; decorative sashes for hair and waist. The original kimono top and sash edges were trimmed with double fold bias tape.
This pattern was designed to reproduce the original garments as closely as possible. However, the design can easily be customized by eliminating the bias tape trim, (optional lining), adding frog closures and decorative trim at the sleeves, hems & sashes.
Our patterns are fully illustrated and designed to be simple to sew. However, it is assumed that the buyer has a basic knowledge of sewing skills.
