This is a vintage British pattern for angora cardigan and cap and skirt. UK Size 13 knitting needles and 2 ply fingering yarn was used for this pattern. This pattern was designed for Rosebud (a British doll company) Twins, 6 ½¿ hard plastic dolls, in the early 1950¿s.
These little dolls were extremely popular and knitting patterns for them were widely distributed in magazines and newspapers in England during that time as an enticement to sell the dolls.
These charming patterns will fit many modern, popular dolls in sizes from 6 1/2" such as Ellery, Hitty, Riley, Ginny, Betsy McCall, Amanda Jane, Tiny Ann Estelle, etc. with only minor adjustments to needle or yarn size.
