This is a vintage knit pattern for a four piece set that was designed for dolls from 7 - 8" tall..originally one of the Storybook Dolls as shown in the photo, ca. 1950.
US size No. 0 knitting needles and a 3 ply yarn was used in the original pattern. It consists of a short sleeved pullover sweater and matching cardigan, flared skirt and cap with pom-poms.
Even though this pattern was originally designed for hard plastic dolls from the 40's & 50's, with only slight change in yarn size and/or needle size, this pattern should also fit dolls 7" to 8" tall such as Tiny Ann Estelle, Little Betsy McCall, Kishlets, Bitty Bethany, Riley, Ginny, Muffy, Alexanderkins and other little girl dolls with similar figure types. This basic pattern would be ideal for custom designs and one of a kind creations.
