These are cute vintage Crochet patterns for 8" boy and girl dolls consisting of 13 pieces. The first outfit consists of patterns for ruffled, frilly dress, ruffled brim bonnet, panties and booties for dolls 8" tall. It was crocheted with a steel #0 crochet hook and 2 ounces of Baby Yarn. These patterns were designed for 8" boy and girl dolls and includes 9 pieces: The Boy's pants, Jacket, Hat, & Booties. The girl's outfit is for a dress, Jacket, Panties, Booties and wide brim Bonnet. Directions call for a #3 Bone crochet hook and 2 ounces of baby yarn. Even though this pattern was originally designed for hard plastic dolls from the 40's & 50's this pattern will also fit dolls 8" tall such as Ginny, Alexanderkins and other little dolls with similar figure types. By using a slightly smaller needle and/or thinner yarn/thread, this pattern could be adapted to fit smaller dolls such as Riley. The basic design of these patterns make them ideal for personalizing with embroidery to use alone or with sewn clothing. For example, a tiny fabric jumpsuit with a bonnet, panties and jacket would make an adorable, updated ensemble!!!
