This is a vintage American knit & sew pattern for miniature dolls 8" tall.
The Pattern consists of: hat, cardigan (sweater), coat, panties knit pattern and a pattern for a felt skirt to fit an 8" doll.
The original pattern used fingering, sock or baby yarn for the panties, sweater and hat. Worsted was used for the coat. Sizes 2 & 4 standard knitting needles, size 2 double pointed knitting needles and sizes 1 & 5 steel crochet hooks were used to make these. A small piece of felt was used for the skirt pattern.
This classic pattern will fit dolls 8" tall such as Betsy McCall and Ginny, Muffy, Alexanderkins and other little dolls with similar figure types. By using a slightly smaller needle and/or thinner yarn/thread, this pattern could be adapted to fit smaller dolls such as Riley.
