This is an undated British knitting pattern for 8", 10", and 12" dolls. Boy and Girl Doll Sets are knitted in stocking stitch with borders in single ribbing and garter stitch.
The boy's set has a double breasted coat with attached mittens and a beret. The girl's coat is single breasted and the bonnet is trimmed with ribbon rosettes. The leggings are the same for both sets.
Measurements are: 8" doll with 4 3/4" chest; 10" doll with 7 1/4" chest; 12" doll with 8 1/2" chest. Even though this pattern was originally designed for hard plastic dolls from the 40's this pattern shoould also fit dolls from about 7" to 8" tall such as Ginny, Muffy, Alexanderkins and other dolls with similar figure types.
