This is a Vintage British Knitting Pattern from the early 1950's for 16" dolls. It consists of a five piece set with embroidered trim: Cap; Skirt; Button front jacket with collar, undershirt/camisole and panties.
The original pattern was knitted with English size 9 & 11 Knitting Needles and 4 ply yarn for the cap, jacket and skirt; 3 ply for the undies.
Even though this pattern was originally designed for hard plastic dolls from the 50's, it should fit Vogue Ginny Baby, Tiny Tears, DyDee Baby, Terri Lee, Bonnie Lu, Saucey Walker Toddler, Patsy dolls, Tiny Kissy by Ideal, Baby Plassie and Baby Coos, Tickle Toes Baby, Saucy Walker, Bitty Baby, Tickle Toes and a variety of medium size other baby dolls with similar figure types.
