This is an undated old pattern for a 4 piece knitted Fairisle Set for 22" tall dolls with 12" chest measurement (smaller sizes can be made by using smaller needles and/or changing yarn thickness).
This adorable outfit would be perfect for Saucy Walker, Ideal's Kissy, and similar toddler dolls. It includes a pattern for a beret, top, skirt and panties. A pattern diagram is also attached.
This pattern was given to me by a friend who found it in an old scrapbook in Britain. It was one of many patterns that had been collected from newspapers and old publications and mounted in this book. According to my friend, who lives in England, it was customary in Britain, prior to about 1950 for knitting patterns to be printed in newspapers and magazines and they were often collected and preserved in scrapbooks.
